What is meant by “Print Ready” File?

A print ready file is typically a PDF file with the correct colorspace and correct resolution, with bleeds if necessary. The colorspace for printing, offset and digital,  is CMYK. The resolution for printing, digital or offset, is 300 dpi. Resolution for wide format printing is 150dpi, but in some circumstances can go down to 72 dpi.
